Do you sometimes feel down, as if there's something missing in your life, but you can't put your finger on what it is? It's an issue which often arises when we suppress our feminine energy - an aspect we all have, regardless of our gender.

Once upon a time the feminine was revered as an aspect of the divine. Unfortunately at a certain point in our history, in many parts of the world it was demonised. People such as the Cathars in France who saw God as both masculine and feminine were persecuted, temples to goddesses were destroyed and witches were burned.

Even now if you want to be 'successful' in the outside world it's often desirable to present masculine attributes at work and keep your feminine energy either dialled down or expressed through your hobbies. In my coaching practice I so often see this suppression of our creativity, our sensuality, self-nurture, our connection to nature and the invisible realms and our appreciation of beauty and the divine as one of the underlying causes of apathy, anxiety or depression. it's often experienced as not knowing who you really are - or being aware of a void - and it comes down to a disconnection from this part of ourselves.

Thankfully we're seeing an increasing awareness of this and, according to Angel channel Anne Tucker in the video below, the arrival of the comet 3i Atlas heralds a return to honouring feminine gifts and values.

So in keeping with this message, the featured essence in this issue is a flower full of the Venusian energy of unconditional love and beauty. Does life feel a struggle? Do you have to watch the pennies? Are you burdened with a lot of emotional baggage? Do your beliefs mean that you only operate within certain limits? Many of us live in a mental and emotional prison. The dimensions of it are decided by the beliefs we've inherited from our family line or the voices we heard around us as a child. These live in our unconscious telling us that we can't do something because 'that's not for people like us' or 'our mother wouldn't like it'. 

We may also repeatedly sabotage our best efforts to reach cherished goals unaware that a family secret or deep shame will not allow us to cross a particular line. That might prevent us from making a happy marriage, earning a good living, being creatively successful, being true to our spiritual or sexual orientation or simply being physically healthy.
