This time that follows the commercial crescendo of Christmas can feel a little unsettling as many of us have had our usual routines disrupted and perhaps been faced with family patterns we thought we'd dealt with.

Personally I find this the perfect moment, before I slip back into autopilot, to step back and ask myself what I want my daily routine to look like as we go into 2026. After all, it's what we do every day that determines the long-term direction of our life, relationships and wellbeing.

One of the accelerating changes in our habits is our reliance on all things digital and the video with Gregg Braden below talks about how important it is that we value being human. Without that appreciation it will be easy to be persuaded to giveaway our soul connection to artificial intelligence, to chips and gadgets.

So my desire for us all in this coming year is that we do something each day to remind us of what makes us human and that we connect each day into the universal field where source reminds us of our humanity and our divine nature.

One of the most profound tools i use for myself and that I refer my clients to, is family constellations used for healing intergenerational trauma as well as current life issues.

In a confidential circle someone usually known as 'the issue holder' outlines an issue they want to get clarity on. It may be a relationship that isn't working, an addiction they want to release, a big decision they need to make, an emotional trigger they don't understand or a way they repeatedly self-sabotage.

The facilitator then asks them to choose people from the circle to represent the personalities involved in the issue. Sometimes they're still around, sometimes they may be ancestors whose unhealed wounds are showing up in our lives now. Sometimes representatives take on more abstract qualities such as anger, money, a family secret, a religion, a country or the issue holder's happy future.

Something extraordinary happens when you represent. You step into what we call 'the knowing field'. You may know nothing of the issue holder's history yet your emotional reactions are entirely in keeping with your designated role - sometimes even feeling pain where that person had an injury or finding it hard to breathe, then discovering they had asthma or TB. 

I've done countless constellations over 20 years and each one teaches me something more about how we hold our ancestral stories within us and how, each time we see what's been hidden, forgive what's been judged, reclaim what was lost and honour what's been disrespected, we set ourselves free to live our life from a more whole and healed place.
