How fragmented are you? When we're at our best we're operating from wholeness, from a part of us that's wise, trusting and self-empowered. When we're triggered the part of us that's reacting is a part that's cut off from our core self - a part that was left behind during a difficult time in the past. It was left to carry something that we couldn't face, something painful, frightening, overwhelming and intense that we didn't have the resources to deal with.

The path of growth is one of returning to find those parts of you that have lovingly guarded these memories. You may find them hidden in your body behind chronically tight fascia or knotted muscles that simply will not let go. One of the most satisfying shifts is one accompanied by a memory followed by a relaxation somewhere deep inside your body. Then you know you've welcomed another exiled part of you home.

Personally I feel this tendency to fragmentation is underpinned by our communication systems. We're encouraged to divide our attention endlessly between platforms and to search for information by scrolling through endless posts. It's no wonder that so many of us are mentally exhausted and wondering if we have ADHD. We're far more effective when we concentrate on one thing at a time - focus and wholeness are our superpowers. It's one of the many reasons I stick to email and won't engage in messaging on social media. I'm not resisting change but I'm discerning about what supports my wellbeing. the channel Zac also has some useful things to say about the careful use of new technology in a video below.

In my latest video I talk about the nine karmic themes that can cause this fragmentation of self on an emotional level. Archangel Raphael explains the link between trauma and addiction as we try to soothe the wounded parts of ourselves.
