The Aquarian Age is bringing huge advances in technology. One of these is the Energy Enhancement System (EE) developed by biophysicist Dr Sandra Rose Michael.

Are you the one everyone relies on? Do you have a strong work ethic and sense of duty? Do you tend to ignore your body's distress signals? Are you driven by chronic worry that keeps your nose to the grindstone? Do you spend a lot of time sitting in front of a screen with your focus in your mind? 

Society tends to push us into this unbalanced state where we live in our head ignoring the needs of our body or emotions. From our school days sat at a desk being force-fed information, the stage is set for an unhealthy and unhappy lifestyle. We're rewarded for intellectual achievements where we've worked hard to deserve our perceived success. School is often seen as a place where we prepare to 'earn a living'. The very phrase implies that life has to be earned, that being who we are isn't enough.

When we internalise these values we can become very driven, using our will to override any physical aches and pains or emotional distress in pursuit of external goals, whether that's creating a happy family or a successful business or a generally perfect life. We're trustworthy, self-sacrificing, uncomplaining and dependable but can also be obsessive, wilful and over-serious.

If our nervous system gives out first we tend to need Olive for the exhaustion that inevitably follows ignoring our emotional needs. If we have a strong constitution we may need a wake up call such as a health scare before we recognise how out of balance our life is, so if you recognise these traits and this journey in any part of your life, take Oak.

Another indication you need Oak is when you become a killjoy, because Oak drains pleasure from life in favour of duty. Your libido plummets and your sense of humour goes missing in action. Fun and pleasure seem frivolous and unnecessary diversions instead of very necessary ways to refuel and uplift your spirit.

A need for Oak often increases in later life when family responsibilities or caring for ageing parents can limit time for relaxation and self-care. It may also be needed when you've got caught up in a project that's absorbing the lion's share of your time and mental energy to the detriment of socialising, physical pleasure and down time.

I find this trait is often strong in coaching clients who carry ancestral war trauma whether on the home front or the front line - some part of their psyche hasn't yet understood that the war is over, personal sacrifice is no longer required and they can stand 'at ease'.
