At the moment everything is pointing to the need to dissolve victim consciousness with significant dates being the equinox on March 20 and the eclipse on April 8. Unfortunately when we need to let go of a pattern it often shows up everywhere in our life so that we can see it in all its glory.

So you may notice a victim mindset - an inner voice that's having a rant . Maybe you're feeling hard done by, taken for granted or unfairly treated. If you're able to look honestly into your shadow you may also see vindictiveness, resentment or self-righteous anger.

Many of us carry stories of mistreatment and injustice - not only from our own lives - and our childhoods in particular, when we were powerless to respond - but also ancestral stories passed down through our DNA.The emotions connected with these can be intense - imagine if your ancestors were marginalised for their religion, skin colour or sexual orientation. Maybe someone was sent away for having an illegitimate child, sold into slavery, died in a pogrom, was swindled out of money, shut in a mental asylum or wrongfully convicted of a crime. These injustices can cast a long shadow. One effective and powerful way to explore and resolve those ancestral stores is through Family Constellations - more on that below.

Dissolving a victim mentality means bringing understanding and compassion to bear on our past - to express our rage safely and find forgiveness. There is nothing more freeing or empowering than seeing how your victim story plays out and deciding to write a new one.

Our Natural Cycle: Our energy pathways should cycle energy down through our crown and out through our feet where those meridians connect to the earth. In a cyclical motion our feet should draw energy up from the earth to our crown. This creates a natural rhythm of giving and receiving with the natural world that we're part of. One of the most powerful tools i use for personal growth is family constellations - perfect for healing intergenerational trauma as well as current life issues.

In a confidential circle someone usually known as 'the issue holder' outlines something they want clarity on. It may be a relationship that isn't working, an addiction they want to release, a big decision they need to make, an emotional trigger they don't understand or a way they repeatedly self-sabotage.

The facilitator then asks them to choose people from the circle to represent the personalities involved in the situation. They may be part of our present or they could be ancestors whose unhealed wounds are showing up in our lives now. Sometimes representatives take on more abstract qualities such as anger, money, a family secret, a religion, a country or the issue holder's happy future.

Something extraordinary happens when you represent. You step into what i call 'the knowing field'. You may know nothing of the issue holder's history yet your emotional reactions are entirely in keeping with your designated role - sometimes even feeling pain where that person had an injury or finding it hard to breathe, then discovering they had asthma.

I've done countless constellations over 20 years and each one teaches me something more about how we hold our ancestral stories within us and how, each time we see what's been hidden, forgive what's been judged, reclaim what was lost and honour what's been disrespected, we set ourselves free to live our life from a more whole and healed place.

If you have an intractable problem Constellations can be a wonderfully quick and powerful way to see where it originates and interrupt the pattern.
