How are you doing on the rollercoaster ride of transition? Personally I can't clutter-clear fast enough:) I'm not sure what I'm making room for as I put ever more stuff on freecycle but I trust my intuition and it certainly helps to see what's left - what's actually significant and treasured - rather like muddy water finally settling so you can see clearly.
A huge canvas of Buddha now overlooks my space, bringing peace and stillness. Teal is a colour I'm currently obsessed with - introduced via new floor-length bedroom curtains. I was intrigued to see that Diana Cooper says this is the colour of the newly awakening higher throat chakra, also called the alta major. Read more below and ignite yours at her event.

How Can I Help?
The object of coaching is to bring about change. You may express that as an outer change - such as wanting to change your job, relationship, unhealthy habits or self-sabotaging behaviours. Or you may express it as an inner change - perhaps you want to feel happier, more engaged with life, more energised or more loving.
However you frame it, the outer changes are always driven by your inner state. Overeating, for example, is driven by trying to comfort yourself or stuff down feelings like grief or anger, over-committing means you avoid having time to be intimate or to face long-standing problems. Over-spending is often an attempt to change the way you feel with a temporary fix. Over-caring for others is a great way get approval and to avoid dealing with our own issues. Most of our problematic behaviours are unsuccessful efforts to make ourselves feel better. They're patterns learned from our parents and caregivers who we saw using them as apparent solutions and many are re-enforced by the society we live in.
So what stops us enquiring into the reasons we do things we wish we didn't - or why we don't do things that would actually make us happy? The truth is it will take us into unknown territory and that feels scary. That's why it's much easier to make changes - and maintain them - when we're in a support group with similar goals or in a coaching relationship. Change is so much easier when someone listens to your feelings and ideas without judgement, when they offer encouragement and inspiration and asks key questions that bring you clarity - and especially when they check on your progress, validate your wins and - in my case - adjust your essence blends accordingly.

From Panic to Calm - Bach to Basics |
|
Are you easily startled? Do you have nightmares or anxiety attacks? Do certain thoughts or events trigger sweaty palms and a clenching fear in the pit of your stomach? Is your nervous system easily triggered or overwhelmed?
All of us face fear in our lives and we all react differently to it - we may freeze or go into an instant reaction or take immediate steps to avoid the threat.
Our nervous system is designed to go into high alert at such times, after which it should cycle through a period of rest and relaxation. Unfortunately many of us interrupt this natural cycle by suppressing fearful emotions and holding them in our body.
Instead of being expressed and resolved our mind may keep replaying traumatic events or external situations may re-trigger the intense fear we felt in the past. Unfortunately our nervous system can't tell the difference between a real event and the memory of it, so we're flooded with adrenaline and cortisol and have all the symptoms of extreme fear over and over until we're in a state of chronic stress.
Our body may try to release these memories during sleep with nightmares or during the day with flashbacks. When frightening memories are constantly cycling through our nervous system we can get stuck on high alert.
Sometimes when we feel driven, that driver can be a suppressed panic. If we allow ourselves to drop down into the feelings that are keeping us over-busy or constantly on the move, we may find it's a flight response from deeply buried fear.
When we take Rock Rose it replaces fear with courage so that we calm down enough to act and deal rationally with the situation. It releases the sense of panic that can leave us feeling powerless,hopeless and unable to think straight.

The Eyebody Method with Peter Grunwald - Starts Thurs Sept 29 |

Have you ever noticed that your vision is worse when you're tired and stressed? Do you notice it's better when you've been out for a long walk in nature?
I've learned so much from Peter Grunwald about eyesight - especially how issues that we think are due to our eyes are actually to do with our brain and our stress levels. For example stress can alter the shape of our eyeball and tension affects the ease with which fluid can moisten and clean our eyes. Tip: don't have an eye test when you're tired or dehydrated.
Past trauma can be held in the muscles around the head, jaw and eye which affect our sight - until you release it.
Glasses and lenses simply help us cope with the impact of our disharmony, in the same way a stick helps us walk - but wouldn't it be nice to walk unaided? We're given physiotherapy for physical injuries but just stronger and stronger glasses - Peter's method includes a type of physio for the eyes.
Peter teaches that brain function can change, therefore eyesight and vision are flexible and can follow the changes of the brain.
The Eyebody Method co-ordinates physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of seeing. Glasses or surgery address the symptoms, not the causes of visual dysfunction.
