We're all born with an inner compass that tells us what direction to go in and an innate sense of timing.
Unfortunately, these instincts are generally not honoured or cultivated - instead, from an early age, they're over-ridden by other people's agendas and external time pressures until they're drowned out completely.
The more we involve ourselves in external noise the less we synch with the cosmos. But it's when we're in harmony with our cosmic intelligence that we're in harmony with our subtler etheric bodies and it's these which feed us important prompts and intuitions about what steps to take and when.
So take regular quiet time to synch with nature's energies and connect with the part of you that comes from oneness. The more you do that, the less overwhelmed you'll feel and the clearer your path will become.

From Overthinking to Intuitive Knowing - Bach to Basics |
|
Do you overthink until you're overwhelmed and unable to act? Do you change your mind so often you drive yourself mad?
From an early age society and our education system encourages us to look for solutions in our mind. We often grow up with the idea that if we think about a problem long enough we'll come up with a solution.
In reality creative thinking and inner wisdom arise when we're in a relaxed state - usually not focused on the problem at all.
Unfortunately too much thinking saps our vitality, so if this pattern is one you're battling with, here are some remedy suggestions below:
Cerato - if you find it hard to be spontaneous and you need to mull things over for a long time before acting, this might be the remedy for you.
Somewhere along the line you've lost trust in your intuitive response. The muscle that gives you instant feedback has atrophied in favour of looking around at what other people are doing or wondering whether your decision will meet their approval or whether you've fully thought through all the consequences or whether you have enough information.
You may not have been encouraged to experiment as a child, mistakes may have been punished instead of seen as a natural part of learning. If you were criticised to the point where you no longer trusted your own judgement or were scared of making mistakes, then you may have developed a pattern of procrastination and second-guessing yourself. You may even have attracted an authority figure in your adult life who continues to treat you in the same way.
As you take Cerato you start to notice your immediate response and have faith in it. Instead of hesitating, you're able to act with confidence and allow your higher self to guide you. You know that, whatever the result, it will be an experience that will teach you something.
Scleranthus - is needed when we're overwhelmed by too many external impressions. This state can start even at the moment we're born if the environment is chaotic and we don't know where to focus.
We need Scleranthus when our attention is scattered. We feel restless, we fidget, we decide to do something and then change our mind, then an hour later we change it back again. People find us unreliable and inconsistent as we appear to go in the direction of the prevailing wind, blown about with no clear sense of personal direction. We're reluctant to discuss this indecision but it's clear to others from our inability to commit and follow through.
It's an uncomfortable position to be in as we move both inwardly and outwardly trying to find a point of balance. If you suffer from this state you may find you get motion sickness and dizziness. Any physical symptoms may move around your body and they'll tend to go from one extreme to the other, such as hot and cold or hyperactivity followed by lethargy.
As you take Scleranthus you're finally able to concentrate and get in touch with your calm centre and natural inner rhythms. Decisions become easy to make and you're able to skilfully juggle many things.
White Chestnut - acts as a clutter-clearer for the mind. When your mind is like a blizzard of post-it notes and you appear to have a conference call repeating itself in your head and even waking you up at 3am, it's time to reach for this remedy.
This messy mental state arises because we can't differentiate between useful thoughts and trivia that needs to be binned. It's like having a desk where you can't find the relevant documents because you don't have a system in place which allows you to discern what's important and file or shred the rest.
If someone wasn't available to confide in as a child as often as you needed, you may have developed a conversational partner in your head, so you got used to constant inner chatter and an endless reviews of events. Physically you may also find that you grind your teeth and suffer from frontal headaches, just above your eyes.

Pilgrimage – journeying with purpose on foot to holy places – has been manifest since hunter-gatherers followed well-worn tracks, which became processional pagan pathways, which in turn became ritualised journeys in Celtic, medieval and early modern Christianity. Pilgrimage was once Britain’s most popular expression of leisure and spirituality, enjoyed by Kings and serfs alike.
The tradition was brought to an abrupt end in 1538, when Henry VIII and Thomas Cromwell banned pilgrimage in Britain. Ever since, the tradition has been paused in Britain.
Today, there is a global renaissance – 350,000 pilgrims walk the Camino to Santiago each year, 2.5 million make the Hajj, 25+ million the Arba'een and 50 million the Kumbh Mela.
It's time for Britain to take part too.
The British Pilgrimage Trust believes that pilgrimage in Britain today should not attempt to imitate medieval forms of religious exclusivity. Instead, the tradition can be renewed to fit with modern needs. To this end, they aim to help pilgrimage become a spiritual activity that is open to all whatever your beliefs, background, age or physical ability.
