Good Vibrations
The universe we live in is like a giant orchestra and we each bring a unique sound to it created by the vibration of our thoughts, feelings and experiences.
In the same way that a piece of music can uplift you or make you cry, the 'music' that we play when we gather together has an effect. For example when someone walks into a room we unconsciously pick up their vibrational signature. Their presence may lighten the atmosphere or you may feel tension begin to build. If you're an empath you'll probably be aware of it either at the time or when you leave and realise you're either drained or energised.
Like tuning forks in the presence of another vibration we tend to entrain or synch our frequencies. This is why it's so important to keep good vibrational hygiene. Limit the amount of time you spend in low vibrational company and balance it with time spent in a high vibrational atmosphere. That may mean watching or doing something that makes you laugh, dancing to joyful music, reading inspirational books, walking somewhere beautiful, enjoying poetry, art and colour or having a regular check-in with a healing group.

From Compliant & Self-Sacrificing to Assertive & Purposeful - Bach to Basics |
|
Do you find it hard to say no? Are you quick to offer help? Do you like to support other people's vision to the detriment of your own? Do you dislike conflict? Are you often late? Do you resent being put under pressure? Are you very sensitive and frequently tired?
Some of us are asked to learn the lesson of service in this lifetime. We may have a tremendous desire to serve others and to live in harmony with them yet not know how to do this in a way that allows us to stay true to the expression of our own unique purpose.
Because of this we may be easily manipulated by stronger personalities, leaders, causes and gurus. Parents and teachers may guilt-trip us into doing their bidding and we often adopt the role of the 'good child' who's no trouble. What we may not realise is that deep inside is a soul-deep knowing that we aren't speaking up for ourselves or defending and asserting our right to our own choices. This leads to sitting on a powder-keg of suppressed rage that we may be quite unaware of and which can leak out in passive-aggressive behaviour. Being late, procrastinating and blocking the progress of others or of projects we're working on in subtle ways with a multitude of excuses, can all be examples of this.
Unfortunately this unconscious tendency to sabotage also affects you yourself. Because you're not prioritising your own path, you sabotage your own dreams too - assuming you're aware of having them.
As you take Centaury you begin to connect with the anger that underlies too much self-sacrifice. The vibration of Centaury gives you the courage to have difficult conversations, to draw clear boundaries, to balance giving to yourself versus giving to others. It also helps you see that in order to grow you need to take responsibility for your own choices and their consequences instead of simply going along with what others want of you.
I find this trait is often strong in coaching clients who have had past lives as monks or nuns or anyone who's taken a vow of service and who was used to living in a community with a vision of serving others. Once a Centaury state is brought into balance you'll find this expresses itself as being a fantastic team player: generous, supportive and altruistic.
