How do you nourish yourself? When I've fasted I notice that after five days of only water and bentonite clay my senses heighten. The sight and scent of a flower becomes a feast for my nose and eyes. Listening to music feels as if my ears are having a delicious meal:) Colours seem incredibly vibrant and birdsong transforms into a serenade.
But how often do we dull our senses by turning on a favourite soundtrack or channel or reaching for our usual afternoon snack, when other options could provide a different, refreshing frequency? In the same way that the healthiest diets have been shown to be the most varied, it's important to vary the nourishment that we give all our senses, so that we aren't over-feeding certain aspects ourselves while other parts of us are under-nourished.
