Ready for Rebirth
Are you ready? So many spiritual thinkers have been saying we're preparing for a pivotal moment on the winter solstice - Dec 21.
However over-used, the butterfly metaphor really is apt this year. We went into our lockdown cocoons and bubbles and we're now at the stage of metamorphosis where we're losing our old shape and haven't yet acquired a new one, which will open up new, exciting possibilities. The same is true of our economy and social structures.
If you help a caterpillar out of its cocoon it will die, because it's only by breaking free that it develops the muscles to fly. In the same way we're strengthening unaccustomed muscles to be able to deal with what's to come.
We're letting go of what (and who) doesn't serve us and learning new skills. The most important things that will help us navigate this time is having a clear intention and trusting our inner guidance.
When you move into a totally new and ever-changing landscape there are no signposts, so you can only be guided by your inner compass and a knowledge of the nature of the path you wish to tread.

Feeling Discouraged? Bach to Basics |

What's resonating for me is the view that we're being taken through waves of specific emotions to heal wounds that hold those frequencies. The first wave was fear, the last wave was anger and frustration. The current one is trust versus distrust and blame.
All of us carry emotional pain from when trust was betrayed, when we were let down, when someone we thought we could count on wasn't there for us. So here are some common Bach remedies to help:
Gentian - if you started off full of enthusiasm and are now feeling downhearted because things don't seem to be progressing the way you imagined or as fast as you'd hoped, this is the remedy for you. Gentian helps raise our spirits when we feel discouraged and to have faith that the universe has a plan we may be quite unaware of. Not getting what we expect or not getting it when we want it, can be the greatest gift.
Cerato - if your lack of trust extends to yourself and you find yourself constantly turning to others for advice until you're paralysed with information overload, then add this remedy to your blend. Cerato will reconnect you to the wisdom that you're born with - that divine guidance that always trusts the universe will respond and that no choice is the wrong choice. Gorse - is ideal when you've been struggling for a long time in difficult circumstances. It might be chronic illness, or financial hardship or relationship stress. Heather - when trust is broken at an early age by times of abandonment or neglect we may become anxious when we're alone. A need for companionship may stop us either being discerning as to whether or not the company we choose has a positive influence or prevent us from achieving things that require us to be alone to concentrate on a task. This remedy will enable you to trust that periods of isolation don't mean you're disconnected from love and will encourage you to trust in your own ability to love and care for yourself.
Vine - if we carry wounds of disappointment we often compensate by trying to take control so that we no longer need to rely on others. We may push ourselves hard, convinced that we're right, and expect those around us to fall in with our ideas. This remedy can allow you to soften and open your mind to other viewpoints, trusting and allowing others to follow their own paths while still retaining a loving and respectful connection.

I recently changed my shower filter, as I was beginning to smell chlorine when I showered and I wanted to treat myself to a bath. (I always fill up the bath from the shower head, so I can lie in it with confidence). I was struck by the contrast between the old filter and the new gold one. So much gunk in our water and it's getting worse.
Shower heads are a great investment. They take minutes to screw onto your existing hose (or you can use the new hose Nikken sends with it). For only 96 GBP you can bathe and shower every day for years knowing your lungs, eyes and skin are protected.
Filters need changing every 3 months on average and cost 26 GBP or 10% less on subscription. It's a good idea to get spare filters when you order, to save on shipping.
