Have you appreciated yourself recently?
I don't know about you but this year I've had days when I've woken with a song in my heart and others when I felt I deserved a round of applause just for making it out of bed.
Some days I've been amazed at what I've achieved and other days I've wondered if I'll ever make sense of the chaos.
And that's life.
The one constant is the wonderful people travelling it with me - and that includes you. When life's a joy it's great to share it and when life's a struggle it does your heart good to know you're not alone. Thank you for your emails, comments, 'likes' and to my coaching clients for sharing their journeys and learnings - it's always a two-way street.
If you haven't appreciated yourself recently, remember that if you follow these newsletters it's because you're looking for ways to become more present and more of your true self. That means you're aware of that light inside you - so please appreciate your commitment because intention is the focused light beam that you send out into the universe. Just remember to open to receive its response. It helps everyone when you're tank is topped up:)
However you're spending the turning of the year, I hope you're able to appreciate all of your experiences, the ups and the downs, so that you take that strength and wisdom into 2019.

Are you clumsy, forgetful or lacking in energy? Do you faint easily, feel dizzy or have a yearning to 'go home' when the going gets tough? Are you idealistic, looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses?
Idealism and positivity are wonderful traits but they need to be balanced with an ability to face 'what is'. If your head's in the clouds but your feet aren't on the ground then you can have any number of creative ideas but they will never translate into physical form.
If we're connected to the inspiration of our higher self we also need to be plugged into the grounding energy of Mother Earth. Then our energy body and physical form can act as the conduit of our life-force and manifest as nature and Source intended.
The Bach remedy Clematis is the remedy to take when you notice yourself disconnecting from reality, wanting to retreat into sleep and daydreams. It's a common remedy to give before, during and after a stressful experience, such as an operation or an exam, when many of us will try to disengage and float away in an embryonic bubble.
If this is a long-term coping mechanism then you may develop problems with vision or hearing that reflect the reluctance to see life as it truly is. Dr Bach called the Clematis state 'a polite form of suicide' - you're physically present but emotionally absent - at some level refusing to be born.
