Tales of the Unexpected
Due to the perambulations of Uranus, we're now in a time of sudden dramatic change and the next couple of weeks will see that more strongly than ever - in both the outside world and our own inner worlds.
Anywhere we're hiding from ourselves is likely to come up for clearing.
Most of us hold onto a self-image that we've created, which we believe makes us loveable - or at least gets our needs met. If we believe we need to be reliable or generous or perfect or successful or agreeable in order to be loved, these are messages that we learned in childhood. Any time when we fail to live up to that self-image we're likely to feel guilty, shameful, unloveable or 'not enough'.
I remember a family constellation trainer once saying that when you feel guilty you're often on the path of growth because it means you're moving away from the family narrative that you grew up with - the unspoken rules of family behaviour, often put in place in response to unhealed wounds and secrets. Guilt can indicate a desire to be free of those dictates yet guilt can also enmesh us. If we allow guilt to keep us trapped, it becomes an obstacle instead of a pathway. To use it to grow we must dig beneath it and find the shame that feeds it.
Once we can own the shame of not being or not doing something in keeping with our self-image, of admitting to a desire for something different, then we can change in truly fundamental ways. Our choices can come from our soul's wisdom rather than our family history.
The movement of the planets right now is asking for that level of transformation, so be prepared to look deeply inside and to wake up to startling news.
Stay present, check in with your feelings every day and notice what you're unwilling to feel. That's the gold under the dragon and if you can reach for it, you'll find you can fly.
