In this last newsletter before Christmas and the Solstice, I'd like to wish you peace and a large portion of gluten-free joy:)
Whether you're with loved ones or gathering your energy within, I hope you find a balance between the two, as this is the season of water which asks us to replenish our resources so that we have the necessary reserves to burst into action again in the spring.

| Are You Ageing While You're Bathing? | |
 Many of us use filter our drinking water to avoid chlorine, heavy metals and other contaminants but we may not realise that we absorb more chlorine by inhalation during a 10-minute shower than we'd ingest by drinking 8 glasses of the same water.
Sitting in an unfiltered bath breathing in the steam isn't great for your health or your looks either. Skin is your largest organ and warm open pores make it particularly absorbent.
 Keeping your skin and hair hydrated is key to looking lustrous and youthful but hair and skin are like sponges and chlorine chemically bonds to both. It strips away the oil that normally protects your skin, leaving it vulnerable to irritation.
You may end up with a dry flaky scalp and thin frizzy hair that breaks easily - especially if it's already fragile from being coloured or treated.
There's an easy way to reduce contaminants - simply unscrew your current shower head and screw on a Nikken one. You can use it to fill up the bath as well.
